The "Invisible Ink" Upgrade

Stop Letting "Dumb" Text Fields Ruin Your Formatting. Control The Hidden Structure Of Your Text.

In professional translation, the "invisible" characters—like Tabs and Non-Breaking Spaces—are often just as important as the words themselves.

But software interfaces sometimes fight you. You hit "Tab" to indent, and the cursor jumps to the next button. It’s maddening.

We have installed a "Direct-Input" Override that gives you total control over these hidden structural markers. You can now type complex formatting instructions directly into the prompt field without the interface getting in your way. It is the only way to ensure your output lands with perfect structural integrity.

It is now possible to manually enter tabs and non-breaking spaces into the CotranslatorAI text entry fields.

You can enter a tab with Ctrl+Tab and a non-breaking space with Ctrl+Shift+Space.

However, there are two important limitations you need to be aware of:

First is a visual limitation. Our text entry fields do not currently display invisible characters. A non-breaking space will look exactly like a regular space on your screen in the text entry field.

However, you will see these characters later in the AI output panes of the Dialog History Grid.

Second is a clipboard limitation. If you generate text in CotranslatorAI containing non-breaking spaces, you can copy it into Word, and the formatting will hold perfectly.

However, due to a known bug in Word, if you copy text from Word into CotranslatorAI (or any other text editor), Word automatically converts those non-breaking spaces into regular spaces before they even reach our software.

So, please keep this “one-way" rule in mind when moving text with non-breaking spaces between applications.
