We’ve changed the default system prompt.
The AI has been trained to represent formatting with markdown symbols.
Because CotranslatorAI is a plain text-only tool, we cannot and don’t want to process this formatting for our professional workflows.
This is rarely an issue with translation use cases. But for other outputs, novice users could wonder why they are seeing markdown symbols, which could lead to confusion. Therefore, we are updating the default system prompt to remove it.
In rare cases where you actually do want markdown formatting, you can just create a custom system prompt to do so.
